We’ve been informed by multiple insider sources that The Mandalorian Season 3 will feature Star Wars Rebels’ Ezra Bridger in a key role.
This has been something that people have been speculating about for quite some time now.
However, it seems as though Disney has been keen on bringing the character over the live-action shows for some time now.
Ezra Bridger was introduced in the animated show, Star Wars Rebels, and he was an instant hit with fans.
He’s a young boy from the planet Lothal and comes into contact with the crew of a ship called the Ghost.
This is where he meets the Jedi Kanan Jarrus, and Kanan quickly realises Ezra is Force-sensitive.
He decides to train him as his apprentice and they and the rest of the Ghost’s crew end up fighting for the Rebellion.
The series ran for four seasons and it truly is one of the best Star Wars shows out there.
Season 4 is particularly good, and they even used the show to bring some characters that were in the Star Wars Expanded Universe into canon.
I am talking, of course, of Grand Admiral Thrawn who’s the main villain of the show.

Anyway, the show is great and we’ve now been informed that Ezra Bridger is going to feature not in The Mandalorian Season 2, but Season 3 instead.
According to our sources, Disney and Lucasfilm have already been auditioning actors for the role.
We were also informed that they might have found their man to play the role.
I’ll give you more details on that front a bit later.
What was really interesting is the fact that we were told he’d be playing a “key role” in Season 3.
That’s a direct quote from one of our sources.
Here’s what one of them told us:
The Mandalorian Season 3 is already in early development. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Rick Famuyiwa have been finalising the scripts and there’s one character who’s heavily involved in the season. That character is Star Wars Rebels’ Ezra Bridger and he will be playing a key role in the third season.
I don’t usually direct quote my sources, but I asked for permission, and they said yes.

However, this isn’t all we were told.
One of our sources, a separate one from the first, also told us about Bridger’s involvement in The Mandalorian Season 3.
However, they revealed that Disney is close to casting an actor in the role.
Here’s what they told us:
Ezra Bridger is going to be in Season 3 [of The Mandalorian]. Disney is currently casting for the role. Looks like they might be close to making an announcement.
This is really exciting for me personally because I’ve been a huge fan of Star Wars Rebels and I really want to know what happened to Bridger after than incredible finale.
We basically know nothing about what happened to the young Jedi after the events of Rebels.
Hopefully, The Mandalorian Season 3 will shed some light on what he’s been through.
Bridger wasn’t involved in the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, even though we know he was out there somewhere.

This is the moment of this article when I start to speculate on who might play the Jedi.
The first and only name that comes to mind is British actor Rahul Kohli.
First off, there’s the fact that he was teasing it on social media.
Yes, he posted a video saying that he was trolling fans.
However, I think he’s been approached by Disney for the role.
Or, he did an audition and got a bit ahead of himself.
He would be perfect for the role.
He’s been impressing The Haunting Of Bly Manor viewers with his brilliant performance as the manor’s cook, Owen.
Kohli would look brilliant as an older Ezra Bridger, and I really hope that Disney goes for him.
Let me know if you have any other ideas on who could play the role in The Mandalorian.
