It’s been revealed to us by sources close to the project that Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool will be debuting in the MCU in Doctor Strange 2. They claimed that he’ll be introduced via the Multiverse and that it will be just a brief cameo in the movie.
This was then confirmed to us by multiple sources who are close to the Doctor Strange 2 project. The movie is being directed by Sam Raimi and will be going into production quite soon. Benedict Cumberbatch will be returning as Doctor Strange.
However, before production on the movie can get underway, Cumberbatch will have to film his scenes of Spider-Man 3, which is currently in production in Atlanta. It was revealed that he’ll be in the movie and act as a mentor figure for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.
Anyway, back to Deadpool. We’ve been waiting patiently to know more information about how Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will end up in the MCU, and it looks like it’ll be through a series of brief cameos.

According to our sources, Deadpool will be first introduced in the MCU in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness. Here’s what one of our sources told us about the upcoming Doctor Strange movie (we always ask our source whether they mind being directly quoted or not):
Doctor Strange 2 will feature Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. He’ll be in a very brief cameo in a scene that takes place within the Multiverse.
This was then confirmed by multiple sources also close to the project. One of them added that this could be how Deadpool will be used in the MCU – in a series of brief cameos. This does make some sort of sense since the character is rather too R-Rated for the MCU as it stands.
There have been rumours that Marvel and Disney will release R-Rated MCU movies under the 20th Century Studio banner. However, they’ll probably be watered-down versions of these characters in the MCU. This means that Ryan Reynolds will have to be on his best behaviour in Doctor Strange 2.

A further source added that Deadpool’s cameo will be “very meta”, and they even stated that he’ll reference Disney and their acquisition of Fox. This is really something to be expected from the character.
They didn’t go into any other specifics, yet it sounds like we are going to be getting Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool in the MCU. This comes after we spotted that Ryan Reynolds’ name was on Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ cast list on Google.
His name was there along with the likes of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Hiddleston. It seems as though this was an inadvertent leak as far as the Sam Raimi Doctor Strange 2 movie is concerned.
