As revealed by Netflix, the show’s premise reads:
Wednesday Addams misadventures as a student at Nevermore Academy: a very unique boarding school snuggled in deepest New England.
Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
While fan speculation has often linked Christina Ricci to the role of Morticia Addams, it’s being reported that Green is currently in talks for the role.
Green has enjoyed a productive relationship with Burton, having starred in Dark Shadows, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Dumbo (2019).
Given her past collaborations with Burton, it’s a role that we reckon Green would be absolutely perfect for.
While this is all still very preliminary, there has been no word as to how significant the roles of Morticia and Gomez will be in the show.
Additionally, there has been no word as of yet as to who would play the role of Wednesday’s father Gomez.
We’ll be keeping an eye on those future casting announcements.
