Eragon fans on Twitter are calling for there to be a remake series of the Eragon books and the hashtag #EragonRemake has started trending.
The film was released back in 2006 and it was based on a book by Christopher Paolini.
The books were part of a series called The Inheritance Cycle and its part of the Young Adult genre.
It was one of the first ‘YA’ books and also became of the very first ‘YA’ movies.
After Eragon was released, there was a slew of other YA movies such as The Hunger Games franchise.
However, the first Eragon movie never spawned a sequel, even though there were initial plans to turn it into a franchise.
The fact of the matter was that the first movie just didn’t play very well with audiences and critics alike.
It only got a rating of 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.
So, to cut a rather long opening to this article short, the movie was bad.
Eragon fans are asking for a Disney Plus series remake

The film was directed by first-timer Stefen Fangmeier, and written by Peter Buchman.
Edward Speleers was selected for the role of Eragon.
Over the following months, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Chris Egan and Djimon Hounsou were all confirmed as joining the cast.
However, there is hope for the future of the Eragon franchise.
Why, you ask? Because Disney now owns the film and TV rights to the property ever since they acquired 20th Century Fox.
Disney revealed that they are making a Percy Jackson series for Disney Plus.
Eragon fans are therefore asking themselves why they can’t also turn The Inherence Cycle into a series also.
