It’s been revealed that Dwayne Johnson and his team was offered a Black Adam cameo in the upcoming The Flash movie, however, they turned the offer down. This was revealed by The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez.
Johnson’s time as Black Adam might end up being pretty short-lived. We still don’t know that for sure, however, after James Gunn and Peter Safran took control of DC Studios, it seems as though Black Adam’s future has been put on the back burner.
We’re going to have to wait and see what will happen with his take on the iconic DC character. However, it has since been revealed that Johnson and his team was offered an opportunity to have the actor cameo in The Flash movie as Black Adam.

One of the questions I have is why would Hiram Garcia, the producer of Johnson’s Black Adam movie, decline the opportunity for their DC character to cameo in the upcoming Flash movie. Garcia is also the President of Seven Bucks Productions, which is Johnson’s production company.
This offer came back when the movie was first shooting, so this means that the offer didn’t come from DC Studios’ new leadership, so there’s a strong possibility that the cameo might have been scrapped from the movie upon release.
Will we ever see Black Adam again?

Another question I have is are we ever going to see Johnson as Black Adam again? This is actually a pretty tough question to answer.
As it stands, it doesn’t seem as though he will be coming back any time soon. James Gunn has made it very clear that Black Adam is not a priority for them right now.
Johnson also revealed in a tweet that he had a meeting with James Gunn and that Black Adam will “not be in their first chapter of storytelling”. However, he did tease the possibility of Black Adam being brought back to the DC Universe in the future.

We still don’t really know what’s going on with the DC Universe. However, James Gunn did reveal that they would be announcing the next DC projects later this month.
I cannot wait to find out what they have planned for us, but we are going to have to wait a while before we get a really clear picture of what the future of the DC Universe is going to look like.
