They worked together to save the Universe, and so it makes perfect sense that Doctor Strange and Spider-Man have a close relationship.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Benedict Cumberbatch has been speaking about his role in the upcoming Spidey film.
He revealed that Doctor Strange and Spider-Man will have a close relationship in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The actor is all set to have a busy few months, as he has Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog sandwiched in between two MCU films.
When asked about the relationship between the two heroes, Cumberbatch’s said:
There’s a close relationship. They’re neighbourhood superheroes, and they’ve had an experience or two. They’ve got history. It might be the case that Peter asks me to help him do something? I think I’m allowed to say that much. I help him fill in his tax returns. That’s what I do.
That last part definitely feels very tongue-in-cheek on Cumberbatch’s part.
As we know, No Way Home will feature Doctor Strange as he attempts to make the world forget Spider-Man’s secret identity.
But of course, the spell goes awry, and is set to unleash the multiverse, with the two heroes dealing with the ramifications.
We wonder how close that relationship will be by the end of the film.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to hit cinemas on December 17.
