It’s being reported that Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange 2 (Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness) could feature a cameo from Black Bolt!
Now, this would be utter insanity, but I really like the idea. Let me explain why in a second.
First off, we have to mention where this report comes from.
The report that Black Bolt could be making a cameo in Doctor Strange 2 comes from FandomWire.
Now, FandomWire is the outlet who first reported that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would be returning in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
They proved to be pretty much spot on with that scoop.
So, it’s safe to say that they have a rather good track-record with their Marvel scoops.
Is Black Bolt a good choice for a Doctor Strange 2 cameo?

Now, why do I like the idea of Black Bolt returning in Doctor Strange 2 – and why do I say ‘returning’?
I like it because it bonkers, and Black Bolt was done a huge disservice in the awful Inhumans show.
And, that’s also why I say ‘returning’, because we’ve already seen a version of Black Bolt in that Inhumans series.
I also thought that Marvel Studios would have liked everyone to have forgotten that that show even existed.
But, FandomWire’s report states that they were unable to confirm whether Anson Mount would be reprising the role.

I think that given how poor the series was, Marvel Studios might not want to rehire Mount for this role.
I would assume that they might be interested in recasting the role.
There have been rumours that Vin Diesel’s been tied to the role.
That said, I’m not sure he’d want to play another role in the MCU who has even fewer lines than Groot!
To be honest, I think he’d be perfect.
