Doctor Doom is going to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Black Panther 2). There have been reports suggesting this could happen, and we’ve now received confirmation from our own sources that the character will be introduced in the upcoming Black Panther movie.
There has actually been a report in The Hollywood Reporter that’s suggesting that the incoming Marvel Comics villain could turn up in Black Panther 2. However, the article doesn’t specifically say that the iconic Marvel villain will be turning up in the film. Their article states that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever “could even introduce a Fantastic Four antagonist earlier than expected.”

According to our source, the iconic Marvel villain will be in the upcoming Black Panther film. The source, who wished to remain anonymous, told us that “Black Panther 2 will mark a huge step in the MCU’s future”, and they then went on to claim that this new “huge step in the MCU’s future” will come in the shape of, as they stated, “Victor von Doom”. This actually comes after one of the movie’s cast members, Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor in the movie, revealed that his character isn’t actually going to be a villain in the movie.
So far, the movie’s promotional material has suggested that he will be the movie’s main antagonist. However, it seems as though there will be someone pulling the strings behind the scenes. That person might end up being Victor von Doom. During an interview with Empire, Huerta revealed that Namor would be more of an “anti-hero” in the film. Here’s what he had to say during the interview:
Latin-Americans are always the bad guys in Hollywood movies. And now we are the heroes – or an anti-hero, in this instance.

Huerta added that “[Latin-Americans] are making something to be proud of in Hollywood.” So, it does look like Namor will not be the film’s ‘main’ villain. However, Huerta did call the character an “antihero”. He also suggested that the character’s live-action debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will stick closely to the character in the comics in that regard.
It will be interesting to see what ends up happening in the upcoming movie. Based on the information we’ve been given, it does seem as though Namor will be convinced he’s doing the right thing, and I think that he might be convinced that’s the case by another character who’s actually pulling the strings from behind the scenes. That person could end up being Victor von Doom, which would be a huge reveal. It does seem as though Victor is going to be one of the MCU’s main villains moving forward, and I’m sure that he’ll be the main antagonist in the upcoming Fantastic Four film, which will be directed by Matt Shakman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in cinemas in the US and the UK on November 11th. Have you booked your tickets for this upcoming MCU movie extravaganza yet?
