Disney has revealed that they are raising the price of Disney Plus in Europe, Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zeland and Singapore. They revealed this evening via their Disney Investor call.
This was really to be expected because Disney Plus was pretty cheap up until this point. The price of the streaming service was always going to go up. Just look at how much Netflix costs these days compared to when it first started.
However, subscribers still might not be very happy to hear that the price of Disney Plus is going to be going up in February 2021. February 23rd, 2021 to be exact. It’s only going up by a few dollars, pounds and euros.

However, no one likes to pay more for a subscription-based service. That said, Disney also announced they would be bringing a lot of new content to their streaming service.
They revealed that they would be making 10 new Marvel shows and 10 new Star Wars shows, which is HUGE! So, it does seem as though you’ll be getting your money’s worth, which is good news.
They also revealed that they are bringing 18+ content to Disney Plus via something called STAR. 18+ content will be hidden behind a password so that kids can’t access it. When I say 18+, it’s mostly going to be R-rated stuff, like Logan, Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and the Alien movies. I’m very happy to learn that those films are coming to Disney Plus, finally.
