It’s been revealed that Disney Plus actually got the MCU’s timeline wrong and had put Black Panther in the wrong place.
It was revealed that Black Widow had been put ahead of Black Panther in the MCU timeline on Disney Plus (via ComicBook).
This is, of course, now the chronological order of the MCU and the mistake was eventually rectified by Disney Plus, but it took them a while to spot the mistake.
The service recently updated the order to flip the two titles, saying that Black Widow actually took place first.
Interestingly enough, both films took place a few days after the events of Captain America: Civil War.
However, Black Widow was set just a few days before the events on Black Panther.
