It looks like DC Films is keen on bringing Superman and Batman back together. A new report from Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity suggests the studio wants to bring the World’s Finest to the screen.
The World’s Finest title spawns from the 1941 comic book, World’s Best Comics. That would later be renamed to World’s Finest in the second issue. Since then there have been numerous incarnations of Batman and Superman teaming up in the World’s Finest series.
The report states that it will be Henry Cavill’s Superman in the film. And with that said, we get to the question on everyone’s mind: Which Batman will be teaming up with Henry Cavill’s Superman for a World’s Finest film?

So which Batman will it be? Here’s what Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity had to say:
Affleck’s future as Batman is still being questioned. There is a push and pull between rumors, whether The Flash will be his last bow or if he’s going to proceed with his Dark Knight solo film or miniseries on HBO Max. From what I’ve been told, I’m leaning towards he won’t be done after The Flash as he wants his Batman story to mark his legacy.
That makes sense, especially if the rumours of Reeves’ and Pattinson’s beef on the set of The Batman are true. However, we recently just reported that, in a recent interview with the New York Times, Walter Hamada stated there would be two separate Batman franchises running at the same time. One would be a Batman played by Pattinson and the other Batman would NOT be Ben Affleck.
It does look likely that DC Films is planning on producing a World’s Finest film. But the question stands: Which Batman will be teaming up with Henry Cavill’s Superman for a World’s Finest film?
We don’t have the answer to that. Yet. What we do know is DC now has 3 choices. And they’ve been giving themselves a lot of choices lately. Hopefully after the SnyderCut is released we will have more of a clear picture of DC Films’ battle plan. Some clarity for these major franchises would be nice.
