David Ayer Says The First 40 Minutes Of Suicide Squad Were Cut

David Ayer has revealed that the first 40 minutes of Suicide Squad were cut by Warner Bros. Pictures, and we would like to see them put back in.

It’s been pretty well documented that the Suicide Squad movie we got in cinemas wasn’t the movie David Ayer wanted to make.

There have been calls online for Warner Bros. Pictures to release ‘The Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad‘.

After it was revealed that Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League was coming to HBO Max fans had hope.

One fan asked David Ayer directly on Twitter whether he could reveal what was the toughest scene to leave on the cutting room floor.

Ayer is pretty vocal online, and pretty open and revealed that the first 40 minutes of the movie were left on the cutting room floor.

Here’s what Ayer said when asked what was the hardest scene in Suicide Squad to leave on the cutting room floor:

The first 40 minutes

Short and sweet. However, the original movie might not have been if there was a 40 minute beginning to the movie that we didn’t see.

Hopefully, this scene will be in Ayer’s cut of Suicide Squad that will be coming to HBO Max at some point in 2021.
