It’s been revealed that Clive Barker has joined the upcoming HBO Hellraiser series and he’ll be serving as an executive producer. Clive Barker was the author of the Hellraiser books and he also directed the first Hellraiser movie.
This news was revealed by Deadline, and the article was also accompanied with a statement from Clive Barker himself. Here’s what he said:
Delighted the Hellraiser mythology is seeing a new life. It’s time the stories went back to their roots. I’m eager to bring to a new audience the most powerful and ancient elements of horror: the darkest evil invading our human lives and how we must find in ourselves the power to resist it.
