Clarkson’s Farm Season 2 was released not too long ago on Amazon Prime Video, and Jeremy Clarkson’s series has ended up breaking video records on the streaming platform in the United Kingdom. It’s been revealed that the series is now the most-watched original show in the UK on the streamer, which is very impressive.
This all comes after Clarkson faced a huge backlash worldwide following his column in The Sun about Meghan Markle. It was the backlash and what Clarkson wrote in the column that ended up forcing Amazon to part ways with Clarkson after 2024.
It was revealed that Amazon would not be renewing its contract with Jeremy Clarkson, meaning that shows he’s involved in for Prime Video, such as The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm, will come to an end after next year. So, what that means is that we’re only going to get to see Clarkson’s Farm Season 3 and four more Grand Tour specials, and then that will be it for those shows.
However, the fact that the new season of Clarkson’s farming show has gone on to attract its biggest-ever ratings in spite of the controversy is very impressive and could force Amazon to change its mind regarding its decision to part ways with Jeremy.

There is clearly a very devoted audience out there that loves Clarkson’s content and will tune in to watch it. There have also been a number of farmers in the UK, parts of Europe and even in the United States who’ve come out in support of the show and Clarkson himself.
Farmers have stated that the show does a really good job in showing the difficulties of their job and is actually pretty important in helping get the word out that our farmers need support and need to be much better treated by governments and often, well, in Clarkson’s case, local councils.

So, according to Deadline, Clarkson’s Farm Season 2 was watched by nearly 4.3 million people on Prime Video in the United Kingdom. This figure surpasses those of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which was made available on the service in September, reaching 3.2 million viewers.

Deadline then added that Clarkson’s Farm Season 2 also ranked 16th in a list of most-watched shows in the UK from the week of February 12th. Will this mean that Amazon might have a second look at its decision to part ways with Clarkson after 2024? I’m not sure. But the show’s doing well, and if the upcoming third season ends up out-performing Season 2, then who knows?
Clarkson and his team at Didly Squat farm are hard at work filming the third season as we speak, and it seems as though that season will cover some of the Meghan Markle controversy, which I’m sure will bring in viewers because everyone is very much obsessed with the Duchess Of Sussex.
