We’ve been given our first look (sort of) at Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher in Taika Waititi’s upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder MCU movie.

This new look for Christian Bale’s take on Gorr The God Butcher in the fourth Thor movie was revealed in a recent Lego set.

These Lego sets have had a tendency of spoiling small parts of upcoming Marvel movies, and they’ve just gone ahead and done it again.

When it was revealed that Christian Bale had agreed to play the villain in the upcoming Thor movie, comic book movie fans the world over couldn’t believe their ears (and eyes if they were reading about the news).

Bale had made it rather clear after playing Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy that he would only return to the comic book movie genre if Nolan asked him too.

Well, it seems as though Taika Waititi gave the Welsh actor a good enough reason to return to the genre.

So, the Lego set is called The Goat Boat and it features Thor, the Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, Korg and Gorr.

The boat is Viking boat and it’s got ‘Asgard tours’ written on the side of it, which I love.

It’s being pulled along by two goats, which is also just brilliant.

This Lego set really makes me think that Thor: Love And Thunder is going to be Waititi’s maddest film yet.

He’s made a lot of pretty insane movies over the years.

Add the fact that Christian Bale is going to be playing the film’s villain and this movie easily becomes one of my most anticipated films of 2022.

As for Gorr The God Butcher’s look in this movie, it’s a bit hard to gleam too much from this Lego set.

What I can tell you is that he looks a lot like the character from the comics.

Gorr here also looks quite a bit like Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies.

He’s also wielding a sword and can be seen fighting Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor in the picture below.

So, yes, who is Gorr The God Butcher?

In the comics, he was grew up on a nameless barren planet and upon learning that gods did indeed exist, made it his life’s mission to kill them all.

Gorr went on to acquire All-Black (which is the sword you can see in this Lego set).

It’s also known as the Necrosword, and Gorr took from a character called Knull after seeing him use it in combat with a golden god.

In the comics, he comes very close to killing Thor, the God of Thunder, only to be beaten by Vikings to come to the rescue and they cut off his arms.

Thor and Gorr have fought each other a bunch of times in the comics, and they’ve always been hard fought battles.

It’s going to be really interesting to see what happens in Thor: Love And Thunder.

I’m really hoping that Gorr ends up becoming a villain worthy of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor.

The movie will also star the likes of Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel.

Yes, the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be playing a part in the movie.

Thor: Love And Thunder will be released in cinemas worldwide on July 8th, 2022.
