Chris Pratt’s rise to stardom is nothing short of meteoric. From his lovable portrayal of Andy Dwyer in NBC’s Parks and Recreation to his action-packed roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Jurassic Park franchise, Pratt has proven his versatility and box office appeal. In 2014, he debuted as Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, in Guardians of the Galaxy. A year later, he entered another sci-fi universe as Owen Grady in 2015’s Jurassic World. Both films kickstarted lucrative trilogies for the actor, solidifying his position as a Hollywood A-lister.
A New Adventure with Micronauts
The Micronauts are not new to the world of entertainment. Originating in Japan in 1974, these popular figurines were created by the same company responsible for the Transformer toys. Their popularity soon crossed borders, leading to Mego acquiring the rights to sell Micronauts in the United States. Although their popularity waned over the years, Hasbro eventually picked up the exclusive rights, setting the stage for a feature film adaptation.

Paramount has been keen on translating the success of toy-based movies, as seen with the Transformers franchise. Two years after celebrating the box office success of Transformers in 2007, Paramount announced plans for the Micronauts movie. Initially, J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions was set to produce the film. However, after a few years in developmental limbo, in 2019, it was announced that How to Train Your Dragon director Dean DeBlois would write and direct the film. Although initially slated for a June 4, 2021 release, the title was eventually removed from Paramount’s 2021 schedule.
While details about Chris Pratt’s character remain under wraps, the possibilities are endless. Will he portray a time traveller, a masked warrior, or perhaps a character with its own Egyptian sarcophagus? Or will he be the quintessential Earthling caught up in a battle of epic proportions?

NO!!! This is going to be a MAJOR mistake!!! Marvel needs to get Micronauts and Rom fully away from Hasbro and Paramount! It has been proving that neither of these properties flourish outside of its Marvel components! Besides the fact that Hasbro has not produced any new toys from these properties since they have owned them! The excitement was present when the fans found out about the Rom and Micronauts omnibuses but if you go in this direction the Movie will suck and money will be lost!
