Chris Evans has claimed that he hasn’t heard anything of him returning as Captain America in the MCU. He took to Twitter to say this and I really do not think anyone believes him.
The news of his return as Steve Rogers came from Deadline, and they tend to be pretty much spot-on as far as their exclusives are concerned. That said, Marvel actors do like to claim that they haven’t been cast in upcoming MCU projects when they actually have been.
Just think back to when the news broke that Tatiana Maslany had been cast as She-Hulk. She was adamant that the news was fake. It was then revealed by Kevin Feige at the Disney Investor’s Day presentation that she was going to be She-Hulk in the upcoming Disney Plus series.

Chris Evans had this to say about his reported return as Captain America in the MCU: “News to me”.
This is a pretty good response as far as I’m concerned. He’s not claiming that the reports are false like Tatiana did. He’s just saying that he hasn’t heard about this, which is kind of amusing.
I know that he will be returning as Cap, and I know that it’ll be incredible to see him come back to the MCU. I knew that Avengers: Endgame was the end of Cap’s time in the MCU. We just need to know whether his return will be in a movie or a Disney Plus TV show, or both.
