Chloë Grace Moretz has revealed that she has met with Marvel Studios, and she added that the meeting was to talk about playing a villain in the MCU. This news was revealed by Moretz herself during an interview with ComicBook.com. There’s now a lot of talk online about which character she could have been meeting Marvel Studios about. Honestly, I have no idea, but I do know that she’s a terrific actor and I think she’d fit in very well in the MCU.
Moretz’s breakout role came as Hit Girl in two Kick-Ass films. I have to say that she was brilliant in both movies. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the second Kick-Ass movie. I would argue that her best performance is in the movie Let Me In. She then went on to star in a lot of movies, and I think she ended up burning herself out. She then took some time off from acting. Thankfully she’s now back, and I’m hoping that she’s going to be better than ever. It seems as though she isn’t ruling out a return to the world of superheroes.
She recently revealed that she’d had at least some talks with Marvel Studios at some point in time. She was pretty ambiguous about the whole thing, but it seems as though these meetings might have taken place for a future MCU project. However, it has to be said that these talks could have happened a while ago. Moretz will be seen next in the Amazon Prime Video series, The Peripheral, which premieres on October 21st.

When asked by ComicBook.com if she’s ever met with Marvel, the actor revealed that she has. Here’s what she had to say on the matter:
Yeah, we’ve talked a little bit about it. I mean, I think for me, I would be really interested in playing a villain in Marvel or DC, and jumping into more of the darker side of the role. I love a superhero. I think that’d be really fun, too, but I think it’s just all about finding the one that really matches what you’re wanting to get across, and the scope of the character. I think it’d be really fun if it was the right role and the right project.
It does seem as though Moretz has always been very interested in playing a villain in a movie, and it seems as though she is a big fan of the comic book movie genre. Here’s what she had to say on the matter during an interview with Capital FM whilst doing press for the Tom & Jerry movie:
I’ve always had this want to play a villain, but I think people might peg me more as a superhero. I would enjoy to be, of course, in the Marvel Universe, in any way, shape, or form.
Which Marvel villain could she end up playing?

I have to say that her upcoming project, The Peripheral, which debuts on Prime Video later this month, will be worth watching. The show focuses on Flynne Fisher (Moretz), a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow’s America. Flynne is smart, ambitious, and doomed. She has no future; until the future comes calling for her. The Peripheral is master storyteller William Gibson’s dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind—and what lies beyond.
