I would argue that Netflix’ Castlevania series is one of the best examples of a successful on-screen video game adaptation. We’ve now got a release date for Castlevania Season 3, which is great news.
The animated TV show is simply put brilliant and I was desperate to see more from the show.
Castlevania Season 2 was incredible and after watching it, I couldn’t wait for the next season.
Season 2 aired back in October 2018 and it was revealed two days after the show landed that Season 3 had been greenlit.
That was great news, but it was then revealed that we would have to wait until 2020 to watch the next season of the show.
We didn’t have a specific date for Castlevania Season 3, but yesterday Netflix gave us one.
Netflix revealed yesterday via a poster they tweeted out that Castlevania Season 3’s release date would be March 5th.
You can have a look at Netflix’s tweet below.

Here’s what Netflix wrote in the tweet: “Castlevania is back on March 5th, and there’s more mystery, murder, mayhem, and vampires than ever.”
I really cannot wait to see Castlevania Season 3. I honestly think it’s one of the best TV shows on Netflix.
It’s certainly the best video game adaptation for the screen of all time.
Castlevania Season 3’s plot is still under wraps, yet the poster revealed that the show’s heroes Alucard (James Callis), Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage) and Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso) will all be returning.
It also indicates Carmilla (Jaime Murray) will replace Dracula as the series’ main villain.
The poster also features a new character who might end up being Rinaldo Gandolfi.
He’s an alchemist introduced in the video game Castlevania: Lament of Innocence.
Castlevania Season 3 will be great, believe me
