Castlevania on Netflix showed how they can bring great video games to the small screen and they have to do it with The Legend of Zelda.
Fans of The Legend of Zelda have been dying for a good movie or TV show adaptation of the video game.
There’s been talk for quite a while that it could happen at Netflix.
Netflix has already proven they know how to bring video games to the small screen.
The Castlevania TV show is the proof of concept for The Legend of Zelda TV show.
The third season of Castlevania was incredible and Netflix should just show it to Nintendo.

The problem isn’t with Netflix. the problem lies with Nintendo.
Ever since the whole Mario Bros. movie debacle, they’ve been very cautious about movie or TV adaptations of their IP.
This is one of the main reasons why we haven’t seen another Mario movie or a Zelda TV show.
However, we live in a different era now and streaming platforms like Netflix seem to know what they’re doing when it comes to these sorts of adaptations.
Before Castlevania came along, no one thought that the video games could be made into a good TV show.
Yet, Netflix, Adi Shankar and Warren Ellis did it. Why not get people like that involved in a Zelda TV show?

Moreover, with the release of recent games like Breath of the Wild and the remake of Link’s Awakening, they’ve got plenty of material to make a good TV show.
I think both worlds would make for excellent TV shows, however, more people will be interesting in a Breath of the Wild Zelda TV show.
They could even come up with something brand new which has been inspired by the games.
This is something I think they would have to do because one of the big problems with the Zelda games when adapting them for the small screen is that Link doesn’t talk.
They might have to change that for the TV shows, but then there’s the problem of who would voice the character.
These are problems that I’m sure people at Netflix could solve.
They just need to convince Nintendo that a Legend of Zelda TV show would be a good thing to do.
