The official title for Captain Marvel 2 has been revealed. It’ll be called The Marvels, which is an interesting title to say the least.
The film is being directed by Nia DaCosta, who’s turned heads with her recent film, Candyman.
Now, Candyman has still not officially been released, yet it’s being reported that people are very impressed with the film and her work on the movie.
The Marvels’ script is currently being written by Megan McDonnell.
Megan was a staff writer on the Marvel Disney+ series WandaVision.
Not much is known about the movie as of yet.
However, we do know who will be in the film.

The Marvels will star Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and will also feature appearances from Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Zawe Ashton in a currently unknown role.
It was also revealed that WandaVision star Teyonah Parris will be back as Monica Rambeau in the movie.
It’ll be interesting to see how the film plays out and whether the title means that Captain Marvel will end up taking a lesser role in the movie.
The fact that the film will star Larson, Vellani, Ashton and Parris seems to indicate that Carol Danvers will be part of a team in this movie.
I like the sound of that, but naturally, it will lead to some people speculating whether this means Marvel isn’t so confident in Larson as Captain Marvel as they used to be.
