This is pretty huge news and it’s not good for director Joss Whedon. Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel actor, Charisma Carpenter has taken to Twitter to reveal the extent of Joss Whedon’s bullying behaviour whilst she worked on the show.

You should have a read of her statement on Twitter. It really doesn’t make for pleasant reading. We’ve already known that Joss Whedon was difficult to work with. Many people who’ve worked with him have claimed that he was a bully and not easy to work with on set.

Well, Carpenter’s statement makes it perfectly clear, but she also reveals how bad his treatment of his actors was.

Carpenter captioned her statement with: “My truth #IStandWithRayFisher”. In her statement, she explains how Whedon’s behaviour causes a toxic working environment and also leaves many actors with crippling anxiety, which is what she went through.

It’s a very sad statement to read because no one should be treated like that in life, let alone in what should be a professional setting. A movie and TV set is a professional setting. You are there to do a job, and you are not there to be abused and bullied by a man like Joss Whedon.

Hopefully, this will be the nail in Whedon’s coffin. However, the damage to people like Carpenter’s already been done.
