Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans have gone through something of a rollercoaster in the last few years after the show was cancelled by Fox and then picked up by NBC only a few hours later, and they’re now waiting to know when Season 7’s release date will be revealed.
Well, turns out they don’t have to wait anymore, as NBC has revealed that Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7’s release date will be on February 6th, 2020.
That isn’t too far away, which is great news. But wait, there’s more. NBC also revealed that the very first episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 would be a bumper hour-long episode.
NBC also went on to revealed that the series will be 13 episodes long and it will air in the 8-9pm slot for its Season 7 premiere episode, before returning the following Thursday at 8.30pm.
I cannot wait to see an hour-long episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and their season premiers tend to be very good indeed.
Not much – nothing to be exact – is known about what’s going to happen in Season 7, but we do know that the likes of Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago, will be returning to the NBC show.
The actor teased her return via her Instagram account.

Back in July, the 37-year-old actor told her 1.5 million followers that filming for Season 7 was finally underway and she shared a picture of the cast coming back to Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s set.
This picture also teased the return of her Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast members, Terry Crews, Andy Samberg, and Stephanie Beatriz who could all be seen in her black and white picture in which you can see them all suited up in their police bulletproof vests.
Melissa accompanied the picture with a caption that read: “Season 7. #Brooklyn99 #Day1.”
It also seems as if we’re going to see a lot more from her character, Santiago, in Season 7 as the show’s producer, Dan Goor, revealed what fans could expect to see in Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 during his appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con (via Digital Spy), Dan revealed: “What we can tease is that we’re gonna pick up where we left off with Captain Holt.
“We’re gonna really try to pay off the cliffhanger that we had. We’re excited to explore more of the Jake-Amy dynamics.

“I think we’re gonna bring back a lot of our favourites, who I think are also fan favourites.
“We’re hoping to have a Pimento episode, we’re hoping to have a Pontiac Bandit episode obviously [and] hoping to have Marc Evan Jackson,” he finished.
One character who might not be returning to Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 is Cheddar, after the corgi who played him, Stewart, died recently at 13 years of age.
The dog’s owner revealed the news via their Instagram account and said that he passed away relaxing in his favourite place in the sunshine.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 will return to NBC on February 7th, 2020, and you can stream seasons 1 to 5 on Netflix right now.
