A Black Adam Vs Superman movie is reportedly being planned over at Warner Bros. Pictures. I say ‘reportedly’, however, this news comes straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak. This was revealed by the upcoming DC Comics movie’s star and executive producer, Dwayne Johnson. The movie star revealed this during an interview with CinemaBlend.
So, in the interview, Johnson said that “the whole point” of bringing the DC Comics character to the big screen in his own standalone movie is so that one day he can make a Black Adam Vs Superman movie. Johnson has been asked time and time again by the fans whether his DC Comics character would ever get to fight Henry Cavill’s Superman in the DC Universe.
He’s been very good at answering those questions by stating that he would for it to happen, but he just didn’t know what was going on. Well, it looks like things have been sorted out between Cavill and Warner Bros Discovery, and Superman is coming back in the upcoming DC movie and will get to star alongside Johnson in a future DC movie.

During the interview with CinemaBlend, Johnson was asked directly if he “intends to make a movie where Black Adam fights [Superman].” Here’s what Johnson had to say to that question: “Absolutely. That is the whole point of this, man.” Johnson then continued:
I have been saying for some time, there’s a new era in the DC Universe that’s about to begin. And what I meant by that was introducing a brand new character. It’s not a sequel, not an existing IP. It was… you know, Black Adam. Two years ago the world had no idea who he was. We did, but not the rest of the masses out there. What I really meant by, ‘This is a new era in the DC Universe,’ is listening to the fans. And doing our best to give the fans what they want.
Johnson has been listening to the fans

Johnson then added: “I have been listening, and I’ve been wanting to address fans for years” in relation to the fans’ desire to have his DC character and Superman fight on the biggest screen possible. Johnson added:
I’ve been waiting for someone to step up and address the fans and say, ‘Hey, we hear you. So finally, after many months turned into many years, we ended up with what we ended up at. And the whole goal and intention now is to this new era, new time. Now let’s build out.
Now, back to the upcoming DC movie. The film stars Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari and Pierce Brosnan. The film opens in cinemas in the United States on October 21st later this month.
Honestly, I really hope that this ends up happening because I would love to see Johnson and Cavill star in the same DC movie together. I actually think it would do really, really well at the box office.
