Black Adam 2 Script Already Finished

Black Adam 2’s script has already been finished, at least, according to someone with very close links to the first film’s production. This is actually a pretty good indication that the Black Adam sequel is already in development over at DC Studios, and it probably will happen. This comes after there have been reports suggesting that the movie might not break even at the box office. I’ll go into all of that in a little bit more detail shortly.

However, before we discuss Black Adam’s rather lacklustre performance at the box office, we have to talk about where this report comes from. The news that Black Adam 2’s script has already been finished came from none other that Robert Meyer Burnett during a recent appearance on The John Campea Show.

Here’s what Burnett had to about about the Black Adam sequel:

I like the philosophy they’re like, ’Look we waited 15 years to get Dwayne The Rock Johnson as [Black Adam], let’s take advantage of this. He says in this, ‘We’ll have a script ready pretty fast.’ I have definitively heard from somebody on the inside, their script’s done. They’ve got a second script.

So, why is Burnett someone we should listen to? He’s been working in the industry for a very long time and has even worked as a producer on multiple Hollywood films. He’s also a filmmaker himself and has produced a number of movies. So, I’m pretty sure he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to something like this.

Why hasn’t the movie done well at the box office?

So, now it’s time to talk about the movie’s box office. The film, which stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, hasn’t been smashing the box office the way he and probably Warner Bros Discovery were hoping it would. The movie has been doing relatively well, and it’s looking like it’ll end up breaking even. However, it doesn’t look like the film will make a huge profit.

There’s also the recent reports suggesting that the film might not be released in China, which would be a huge blow for the movie’s box office hopes. China is a pretty big market and Warner Bros and Johnson were really hoping that the movie could end up performing well over there. To be honest, if the film does end up being released in China, I think it would end up doing very well indeed with Chinese audiences.

Dwayne Johnson has a pretty big pull with Chinese moviegoers and his previous films have all performed well over there. I think that Warner Bros Discovery and Six Bucks Productions will be doing everything within their power to ensure that the film does get released in China. We’re going to have to wait and see what ends up happening.
