There’s another trailer for the upcoming DC Comics movie, Birds of Prey which see Margot Robbie return as Harley Quinn, yet this time she’s said goodbye to Mr. J (Jared Leto’s Joker).
I love the fact that these trailers have made a huge point of saying the Joker is not going to be in this movie.
It just goes a long way in showing how unpopular Jared Leto’s version of The Joker really was in Suicide Squad.
We’re now going ahead in the DCEU without the Joker and it’s looking like Harley Quinn is going to be fine on her own.
The very first Birds of Prey trailer was a tiny bit subdued. The same cannot be said about this new one, which makes the film look totally insane, and I love it for that.
I can’t wait to see Margot Robbie in action as Harley Quinn and hopefully, the film will really let her go wild with the role.
I loved her in Suicide Squad – she was genuinely the best thing about the movie – yet I did sense they were holding back a bit with her character.
Birds of Prey’s new trailer make the film look like mad

Birds of Prey – or to use its full title, Birds Of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn – will feature the likes of Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, and Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis, a.k.a. Black Mask.
Newcomer Ella Jay Basco also stars as Cassandra Cain in her feature film debut.
The film is also told from Harley point of view, so I’m pretty sure they’ll be an almost Fight Club-esque twist towards the end when you realise that she was actually alone the whole time.
However, they might want to stay away from that trope after Todd Phillips’ Joker movie which did a slightly similar thing.
