Benedict Cumberbatch has teased that there could be another season of Sherlock in the future if the script is right, which is great news!
Cumberbatch revealed this interesting bit of news during a recent interview with Collider.
The British actor was there to talk about his upcoming movie, The Courier, which is getting very good reviews almost across the board.
During the interview, he was asked by Collider’s Steve Weintraub whether there would ever be more seasons or episodes of BBC’s Sherlock.
His answer was pretty interesting because it wasn’t a straight no from the actor.
He actually revealed that he would do it if the scripts were right, which is brilliant news to me since I loved the show.
Granted, the last few seasons weren’t the best, but that’s probably why Benedict Cumberbatch would want to make sure the scripts were right before agreeing to doing more episodes.

Here’s what Benedict Cumberbatch told Collider when he was asked about the possibility of there more episodes of Sherlock:
I’m the worst person to ask on this because I never say never, obviously. But I don’t know. And I’m the worst person to ask because my slate’s pretty, pretty full at the moment, as is Martin [Freeman, Watson] and all the other key players involved. So, who knows? Maybe one day, if the script’s right. And I say ‘the script,’ maybe it could be a film rather than the series. Who knows? But anyway, not for now.
