It’s been revealed that Ben Affleck is in talks with Marvel Studios about playing a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which is terrific news. This comes after it had been reported that Affleck might be turning up in Deadpool & Wolverine, which still might happen. However, according to Daniel Richtman – an industry insider – Ben Affleck has actually spoken to Marvel Studios about playing a role in the MCU that he hasn’t played before.
This means that the rumours that Affleck could be about to play Daredevil or Batman in Deadpool & Wolverine might be a bit off the mark. It sounds as though the actor might actually be in talks with Marvel Studios about playing another role in the MCU entirely. It’s going to be really interesting to see which role Affleck could end up playing in the upcoming Marvel movies.

So, with all of this in mind, it does seem as though we might be seeing Affleck join the MCU in the not-so-distant future, and if Richtman’s to be believed, this will be a role we haven’t seen him play in the past. This means that he might not be turning up as Daredevil or Batman in Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine.

That said, he might end up getting to see him both play Daredevil or Batman in Deadpool & Wolverine and then also turn up as a character he hasn’t played before in a future MCU movie. It’s going to be really interesting to see how this news story develops moving forward.
