Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz has put herself forward (kind of) via Twitter to be the one to replace Ruby Rose as the next Batwoman.
When it was revealed last night via The Hollywood Reporter that Ruby Rose was leaving Batwoman after just one season, I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
I sounded like absolute madness that she would leave such a good gig after just one season.
It got me thinking whether she left due to personal reasons, or whether she was fired.
She could have been unhappy with something about the show.
It wasn’t doing terribly and was getting some pretty positive reviews.
Anyway, The CW announced that they would be recasting the role and that they wanted someone from the LGBTQ community to play Batwoman.
Then the Internet went a bit mad – myself included – and we all starting saying that Stephanie Beatriz should play the role.
Stephanie Beatriz is the perfect choice to play Batwoman

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress has obviously been reading all these fan-casting tweets and article because she’s seemingly put herself in the running.
She took to Twitter last night and wrote: “*reads everything about Batwoman”.
Beatriz then also replied to Ella Cerón’s tweet of “GO METHOD”.
The actress replied: “legit did dye my hair red last month”.
She is literally just adding fuel to the flames at this point.
In all honesty, I think Stephanie Beatriz is perfect for the role and I’m pretty sure she would have been in the running before Rose was first cast.
I think she would make an excellent Batwoman and I really hope she gets the role.
