It’s been revealed that Batman Beyond and Batman: The Animated Series are both coming to HBO Max. This news was revealed via ComicBook.com, and I could not be more jealous of our friends over in the United States.
As it stands, HBO Max is only available to people in the US, which is one of the reasons why it doesn’t have nearly as many subscribers as the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus. They’ve only got a fraction of the people available to subscribe to their streaming platform as the others.
Honestly, I think the idea of releasing a streaming service in just one market is pure madness these days. That’s one of the big issues I had with Hulu, but Disney’s solving that with STAR on Disney Plus. They might also end up getting Hulu released overseas, which would be epic.

Right, back to Batman Beyond and Batman: The Animated Series. These are two of the best Batman things ever made. I’m including movies, TV shows, video games and comic books in that list. Batman Beyond and Batman: The Animated Series just happen to be animated, but the stories in these shows are incredibly fascinating.
If you haven’t had the chance yet to watch these shows, I really do recommend them because they’re bloody brilliant. I would definitely recommend you watch Batman Beyond, which is one of the most interesting Batman stories ever written as far as I’m concerned.
This comes after we revealed that HBO Max was working on a live-action Batman Beyond series with Michael Keaton returning as Bruce Wayne. It’s also being rumoured that WB wants Timothée Chalamet to play Batman in the series.
