Aquaman 2 (Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom) has been delayed, but its star, Jason Momoa, has teased that the movie could feature multiple Batmen. He teased this during a recent interview with AP, which you can check out via their tweet below. Before we go into what he had to say about how many Dark Knights will be in the Aquaman sequel, let’s talk about the state of this upcoming movie.

It was revealed that Warner Bros Discovery had delayed the movie’s release date. It’s now being released on December 25th, 2023. Yep, the movie is being released on Christmas Day, 2023. That’s a bit of an unusual release date. However, there have been reports that they opted to delay the movie in order to remove Amber Heard as Mera and replace her with Emilia Clarke. I’m not so sure that this will end up happening, but you never know.

So, during an interview with AP on the Red Carpet event for the final season of his Apple TV+ series, See, Momoa teases that Aquaman 2 could feature multiple Batmen. The star did not offer any explicit confirmation. However, what he did do was playfully joke that fans only know a little, and Aquaman 2 could also have even less of Batman than what they are expecting. Read what he says below.

I cannot tell you anything about the reunion. He may or may not be in it, and there could be more or less, or even more Batmans in it. Who knows? You only know a little bit.

It was revealed not too long ago by Jason Momoa himself that Ben Affleck was going to be returning as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming DC Films movie. Momoa revealed this via his Instagram account, and it kind of broke the Internet because we were all under the impression that The Flash movie was going to be the last time we’d get to see Battfleck in action.

Then we have the whole question of what’s going on with Michael Keaton’s return as Batman. He was supposed to play the role in the Batgirl movie, which was then cancelled by David Zaslav. He’s also supposed to be playing his version of Bruce Wayne in The Flash movie, but we don’t really know what’s going on with that movie.

The Flash movie is now coming out before Aquaman 2

The Flash film seems to be coming out before The Lost Kingdom. The Flash’s new release date is June 23rd, 2023. However, all this Ezra Miller drama could result in the DC Films movie also being cancelled. That would be terrible if you ask me. We’re all desperate to see Keaton return as Batman. But, Jason Momoa’s tease makes us think that both versions of Batman might be in this movie. And the fact that the movie’s been delayed makes me think that The Flash movie will be released first so that audiences will be re-introduced to Keaton’s Batman via that movie.

It was already reported that The Flash movie would introduce audiences to DC’s version of the Multiverse, and that’s how Keaton’s Dark Knight is going to turn up in the movie. One of the theories we heard previously was that the reason why Ben Affleck was going to play Batman in Aquaman was that audiences would be confused to see Keaton’s Batman in the movie should it be released before The Flash movie. This is because Keaton was initially supposed to be playing his Dark Knight in Aquaman 2.
