Aquaman 2 Is Rumoured To Be Much Darker And More Mature Than The First Film

It’s being rumoured that Aquaman 2 will be much darker and much more mature than James Wan’s first film. This rumour comes from Daniel Richtman who’s an industry insider and regular ‘scooper’.

He’s saying that the upcoming Aquaman 2 is going to be quite a dark and mature movie compared to the first movie. That’s kind of impressive since the first movie did have some darker moments.

I loved that Trench scene in the movie, and I really wanted to see more of that sort of thing. And it sounds as though this second movie will have more scenes like that one, which will be incredible if this news is true.

Now, I am very much up for this idea of Aquaman 2 being darker and more mature than the first film. I would love to see James Wan really lean on his horror roots.

James Wan started off his film career working on horror movies. He made the likes of the first Saw movie and then moved onto The Conjuring, Dead Silence, Death Sentence, Insidious and he then moved over to the Fast And Furious franchise.

So, it sounds like he really wants to bring that horror influence into his second Aquaman film. It’s also rumoured that Amber Heard is going to get more to do in Aquaman 2. Like her or not, she could be very good in a horror movie.
