It seems as though DC Comics fans really don’t want to see Amber Heard play Mera in Aquaman 2.
There are a whole bunch of reasons for this, which I won’t go into in this article in much detail.
Let’s just say that people don’t like the way she treated her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, and I don’t blame them.
The reports coming out of what really went on between the two are pretty worrying.

It doesn’t make for very pleasant reading and the person who started the petition, Jeanne Larson details everything that happened.
Here’s a little snippet from her petition:
Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp. In his $50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one incident where she punched him twice in the face and another where she shattered his finger with a vodka bottle, and his finger had to be surgically reattached. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.

The petition has now reached over 192,000 signatures and it’s almost reached its goal of 200,000.
Once it hits its goal, Warner Bros. Pictures is really going to have to think what to do with Heard.
There have rumours that they’re not asking her back for Aquaman 2 to play Mera.
To be honest, the sequel doesn’t need to have Heard in it.
They would be fine just having Jason Momoa’s Aquaman partner up with someone else or be on his own for a while.
There are lots of avenues to explore in these new DC Comics movies.
I’m sure that James Wan has already got ideas of how to continue sans Mera.
The petition finishes by claiming:
As Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims, and must not glamorize a domestic abuser.

Certainly WB should dump Heard. She is toxic. She is a disgrace why would WB or L’Oreal or ACLU or the UN want to be associated with her. People all around the world are finally catching on to her crazy (literally) lying ways. If there is any real justice, she needs to be completely cancelled from Hollywood and serve time behind bars for perjury
That fucking stripper should go back to the sewer she came from.
She is not someone who anyone can look up to. This is a very sad mess, but she shouldn’t be rewarded with a boon to her career when she may have cost her ex-husband his. She used platforms meant for serious issues for her own ends. NO CHARACTER, NO INTEGRITY.
She cost him a high-paying job so she should lose a high-paying job. Karma.
