It’s being rumoured that a live-action X-Men series is reportedly in the works for Disney Plus, and it’ll have a focus on social issues. This rumour comes to us from the website, Bounding Into Comics.
This is something that Marvel and X-Men fans have been waiting for for quite some time now. I am one of those fans. I love the 90s’ animated X-Men series, and I genuinely believe it’s the best of Marvel’s animated shows.
It was quite ahead of its time, and the idea of seeing a live-action X-Men show which keeps a focus on social issues is really, really exciting. It’s exactly what Marvel Studios should do with the property, and they now have Disney Plus to put the show on.

Here’s what WDW Pro (via Bounding Into Comics) had to say about a live-action X-Men series being in the works for Disney Plus:
The rumour is that Disney execs were caught off guard with the Disney+ viewership for the old 90’s X-Men animated series, and they are considering/developing a live-action series with a huge budget that aims for a similar vibe.
WDW Pro went on to reveal Marvel is planning for the show to have a “heavy emphasis on social issues.” The scooper didn’t have much else to provide, but did indicate “this one is in the very early stages.” WDW Pro then went on to add:
We want to get the info out there, but as of now we don’t even know with specificity who is involved.
