Amber Heard has been welcomed back to Atlantis by the director of Aquaman 2, James Wan, and this might annoy quite a few people.
Heard posted a picture of Wan’s ‘Welcome back to Atlantis’ letter on her Instagram account.
There has been an awful lot of speculation surrounding Aquaman 2 and whether Amber Heard would be in the movie or not.
We were told quite some time ago by a source close to the project that Heard would be playing Mera in the sequel.
There were also rumours that Emilia Clarke had been brought in to replace Heard as Mera in the sequel.
Those rumours turned out to be false – surprise, surprise – as Amber Heard is currently getting ready to film the sequel.

I know there are many people out there who would have loved to have seen Heard be fired from the movie.
However, she’s there to stay and it seems like she’s going to have a relatively important part in James Wan’s film.
Wan’s always been a fan of Heard’s and it seems as though he’s very happy to have her back on this project.
He left her a note saying: “Amber – Welcome back to Atlantis. Love James and Rob”.
That’s a nice little message for James to leave his actor.
I wonder whether he left a similar message in Jason Momoa’s room?
