It’s being reported that Amber Heard hasn’t actually been cut out of Aquaman 2 (Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom).
According to Andy Signore over at Popcorned Planet, Amber Heard’s time in the movie has actually been increased!
He’s reporting that the rumours that Amber Heard was cut from the movie were false.
We did think at the time that it was a bit odd for Warner Bros. Pictures to cut Amber Heard out of the movie.
Yet, there were reports that after the verdict in the Johnny Depp defamation trial, Warners opted to just cut her out of the film.
However, Signore and others are claiming that this is not the case.
He’s saying that her screen time as Mera has been bumped up from seven minutes to twenty-five minutes.
Signore was told this by someone who saw a recent test screening of the film.
Amber Heard will be in at least 25 minutes of Aquaman 2!

However, he didn’t stop there.
Before I continue, I must issue a SPOILER WARNING for Aquaman 2.
Signore actually revealed that Heard’s Mera and Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry have a baby together in the film!
Mera will spend a lot of her time in the movie in hospital and the baby will reportedly play an important part in the movie.
This all sounds absolutely crazy to me, and I really don’t get the plotline at all.
It has been revealed that the film is going to be a sort of buddy cop film between Momoa’s Aquaman and Patrick Wilson’s Orm.
Mera and Arthur will have a baby in Aquaman 2!

However, it sounds as though there will be a secondary plot in the film which will involve Amber Heard’s Mera.
I’m sure that many of you will be unhappy to hear this, but it does seem as though this will be the case.
I trust Andy Signore’s information as he’s been proven right so many times in the past.
Aquaman 2 is set to hit cinemas on March 23rd, 2023 in the US.
