It’s being reported that Amber Heard and Warner Bros. Pictures are still talking about a Mera solo project.
This rumour comes from Daniel Richtman and his Patreon page.
There have been rumours for quite some time now making the rounds suggesting that there is a Mera solo project in the works.
Amber Heard is set to star in this project and I know there are a number of DCEU fans who will not like this idea at all.
That said, Heard seems to have a lot of supporters and fans inside Warner Bros. Pictures.
It’s said that she’s very close to James Wan – the director of Aquaman and the upcoming Aquaman 2.
It’s also being reported that Walter Hamada, the President of DC Films, is also a fan of Heard’s.

This all comes after Amber Heard teased that she’s prepping for her time on the set of Aquaman 2.
She did this via a recent post on Instagram in which she seemed to be making some sort of in-joke between her and Jason Momoa.
She was also sporting her Mera red hair in the picture which seems to indicate that she’s also got herself ready to play the role.
Again, I know that people will not like the idea of a solo Mera project.
Many fans will boycott it and be very active on social media.

However, it does seem as though Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films aren’t really listening to the fans at the moment.
They would rather just brand all DC fandom as “toxic” and then go ahead and make a Mera spinoff movie or TV series.
I think that, should this be made, then it would end up being one of the HBO Max DC Films spinoff series.
