Alita: Battle Angel was a rather interesting movie. Robert Rodriguez’s film didn’t do all that well at the box office, but there’s definitely something there which could be expanded upon in a possible sequel.
There has also been quite a lot of demand from fans for an Alita: Battle Angel sequel, and it seems as though there’s a way they might be able to help get it made.
The film has been in a state of flux after 20th Century Fox was acquired by Disney, yet it looks like there might be a way to convince the studio to make Alita: Battle Angel 2.
Robert Rodriguez directed Alita: Battle Angel and revealed that he’d be very much interested in returning to direct Alita: Battle Angel 2.
It’s also been revealed that Alita star, Rosa Salazar would love to come back to play Alita.
With us living in the age of streaming, especially now that Disney+ is online (in the US, Canada, Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand at least), Alita: Battle Angel’s producer, Jan Landau, revealed to CinemaBlend he would consider bringing Alita: Battle Angel’s sequel to Disney’s streaming platform.

Well, I won’t speak specifically about Alita. I would just tell you that I think Jim [Cameron] and I love the opportunities that streaming and these other avenues of distribution are offering people today. And you know, we would love to get into those playgrounds and play in them, no matter what the title is.
Landau also said that fans should keep pestering Disney and telling them that they want an Alita: Battle Angel 2, and he also added that they should tell Disney they’d pay good money to watch the movie.
