There’s a show that came out this year on Netflix that really got people talking, and that show is called Alice In Borderland, and we want to know when will Alice In Borderland Season 2’s release date will be on the streaming service.
Now, this is never an easy thing to predict with Netflix because they do have a tendency of keeping their release dates very close to their proverbial chest.
However, we do know that they are working on an Alice In Borderland Season 2.
This new hit Japanese science-fiction-horror show was based on a manga series by Hara Aso.
If you were to describe the show in one sentence, I think the best way to do that would be it’s kind of Battle Royale meets Saw meets Jumanji.
It’s bloody incredible and was right up my street, and I now cannot wait for Season 2.
I think this show is the best show I’ve seen this year, and there have been some really good shows that have come out already in 2021.

However, I’m not going to sit here and not tell you what the show is really about.
That would have been far too easy, and before I get started on what Alice In Borderland is all about, I wanted to put in a SPOILER WARNING right here.
You’ve been warned.
The series centers around a very talented, but also pretty lazy guy called Arisu (he’s the “Alice” referenced in the show’s title).
All he does is play video games all while texting his friends Chōta and Daikichi.
Everything seems pretty cool for him and even his parents don’t really give him a hard time for his laziness, lack of motivation and the fact that he’s constantly playing video games.
However, things take a slightly bad turn for Arisu when he and his friends end up being chased by the police and end up hiding out in a public toilet.
When they eventually come out of their hiding spot, they find that the whole city is completely empty, and it’s a bit like that incredible scene at the beginning of 28 Days Later.
They end up following a sign that tells them: “The games start here.”
However, Arisu and his friends quickly realize that these games aren’t what you might describe as “fun”.
They’re more like the sick and twisted “games” in the Saw movies.
They end up in a mysterious place referred to as Borderland and the citizens’ livelihoods are governed by their possession of a VISA, which dictates how many days they have left before they are zapped into oblivion by an ominous sky laser.
You can gain yourself a few extra days not being blown into oblivion by competition in and winning these games.
As each episode goes by, Arisu has to compete in new deadly challenges and it just ends up getting pretty darn gruesome.
Will there be an Alice In Borderland Season 2 on Netflix?

The short answer to that question is yes.
There will be a second season of Alice In Borderland on Netflix.
The second season was actually greenlit pretty soon after the first season landed on Netflix.
It was actually announced by Netflix only two weeks after the first season aired.
They revealed that there would be a Season 2 on Christmas Eve 2020 to be exact.
It seems like the show did well enough to warrant another season, which is great news for we fans of the new hit Netflix series.

This is a much harder question to answer.
The short answer is we don’t know.
This is mainly due to the pandemic, which has put a huge delay on many upcoming shows and movies.
It’s been a bit of a nightmare year for people in the entertainment industry, however, I’m pretty sure Netflix will find a way to get this show made as soon as possible.
My best guess is that we’ll get to see Alice In Borderland Season 2 in 2022.
Hopefully more towards the beginning of the year rather than the end.
However, again, the pandemic had really put a spanner in the works for many of Netflix’s upcoming projects.
Therefore, we’re just going to have to be patient.
That said, the show is coming, which is something we should be grateful about because many shows have been cancelled by Netflix due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
