It’s been revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as Kraven The Hunter for an upcoming Sony Pictures Kraven solo movie.
This news comes to us from Variety and I think it’s actually really good casting.
It also means that we’re going to get to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson back in a Marvel movie, which is great news.
Taylor-Johnson is no stranger to comic book movies.
He kind of burst onto the scene playing the lead role in the excellent movie Kick-Ass.
Taylor-Johnson was then cast as Quicksilver in Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
However, he ended up being killed off in that movie and we haven’t seen him return as the character ever since.
Marvel opted to bring in Evan Peters as Pietro Maximoff (aka Quicksilver, aka Ralph Boner) in the Disney Plus series, WandaVision.
Now, it seems as though Aaron Taylor-Johnson saw something in the Kraven solo movie script that made him want to return to the land of the comic book movie.
This role hasn’t been an easy one for Sony to cast.

It was revealed that they had approached Brad Pitt, then Adam Driver was approached and turned the role down.
The final actor reportedly offered the role was Keanu Reeves who also supposedly passed on Kraven.
So, it seems as though it’s fourth time lucky for Sony Pictures since it’s being reported by Variety that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has accepted the role.
Therefore, he will be starring as Kraven The Hunter in Sony’s upcoming solo Kraven movie.
I think this is terrific casting because Tayl0r-Johnson has the acting chops required to play the role.
We know he can do accents and he definitely has the right kind of look for the role.
He’s also still quite young and could play the role for many years to come.
It also looks like Sony is planning on making their own sort of Avengers film with all their Spider-Man adjacent characters.
Therefore, expect to see a movie starring Tom Hardy’s Venom, Jared Leto’s Morbius, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven and possibly Tom Holland’s Spider-Man very soon.
