NBC has just announced that their hit show, The Good Place, will be getting a third season, much to Small Screen’s delight!
The Good Place is easly one of the best shows on air right now. If you haven’t watched it yet, then you should. It’s got a really interesting premise, is chocked full of twists and turns and explores the ramifications of one’s actions, or in other words, ethics. There aren’t that many shows quite like it and it’s a real delight. The show is currently in its second season and is on a winter break but it’ll be back on January 4th.
We have now learnt thanks to The Hollywood Reporter that NBC has renewed The Good Place for a third season which will consist of 13 episodes. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), who wakes up to find herself in the afterlife, or what Ted Danson’s character, Michael, reveals to her is actually called the Good Place. Yet, Eleanor wasn’t what you might call a model human being and knows she doesn’t belong there, therefore she enlists the help of her so-called soulmate, Chidi, played by William Jackson Harper, to help her to learn how to become a better person so that she can earn her place in paradise.
A third season is wonderful news, yet I do hope they don’t end up making too many seasons of this great show. We don’t want another How I Met Your Mother scenario on our hands. You can watch the first and part of the second season of The Good Place on Netflix in the UK.
