There’s a new image of Andy Serkis’ Supreme Leader Snoke which gives us a closer look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s main villain. Check it out below.
Supreme Leader Snoke is shrouded in mystery. We learn very little about him in Star Wars: The Force Awakens apart from the fact that he’s evil and had a hand in luring Ben Solo away from his family and towards the Dark Side. Adam Driver’s Ben then adopts the new name, Kylo Ren, and starts murdering a lot of people including his father (SPOILERS) Han Solo. Safe to say, Snoke is not a good guy.
Snoke’s mysterious nature has lead to many people speculating as to what his real identity online which in turn has spawned the saying, ‘Your Snoke Theory Sucks’. People love to make fun of one another’s Snoke theories and aren’t afraid to let fellow Star Wars fans know how ridiculous they find their theories to be.
I’ve heard people say that he’s actually Dark Plagueis, Mace Windu, Grand Moff Tarkin, the resurrected Palpatine, and some people have even suggested that he’s Dark Vader. Yet, this is all just nonsense. The most likely explanation is that he is his own person who was present during the events of the original Star Wars saga and the prequels and we just hadn’t come into contact with him before now.
Andy Serkis has already opened up a bit about his Star Wars villainous character and has revealed that pain and greed are what motivate Snoke more than anything, which is a pretty Sith way to go about things. Serkis also revealed that Snoke is a strong Force user and that he had been seriously injured during the battle. You can clearly see the scaring on Snoke’s face in Empire’s exclusive image of him below.
Whatever this Star Wars villain’s true identity ends up being, I have faith that Rian Johnson has something very special in store for us come December 14th when Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes to UK cinemas. Have you bought your tickets yet?
Let us know your wildest Snoke theories in the comments section below. We’d love to hear them. The crazier the better.
